That’s a well written piece. It’s so true too, the days of the puck bunny are by and large gone. The vast majority of women in sports these days are knowledgeable and genuine fans. There are still a few of the worst examples around, mainly the WAG type looking to score a footballer, and of course TV companies still hire as much on looks as anything else….but….it’s such a positive thing in so many ways. Shared days out to the stadium, the defusing of the testosterone fuelled “trouble bomb” that is an all male environment where competition and beer are involved….and if the game is dull, there’s always cuties in the stand to look at!!!

Wow. That was a nice piece of writing. I do feel the sadness of him saying good bye. It’s definitely the end of the core 4. But we had a nice run to see him as a member who brought us 5 rings. People these days took it for granted that we should win it every year and forgot about the 80s when we are not doing well at all. Even though I go to the games 10 times per season. I only get to see him pitch live like 3 times. All loses. Ill miss him. People outside new York will not think he’s hall of fame material just because he’s a Yankee. But he was the one who gave us a lot of postseason clinchers. And he’s really good for a lefty. Time will tell.

Perfectly said. I too, share your biggest regret in not seeing Andy pitch live this past year. I last saw him live in ’09 in Chicago (where I live), so I can’t get to the Stadium very easily either. I feel your pain.

I love my team from across town and I have to say that was beautiful. As a passionate fan myself,I enjoy to read heartfelt words filled with passion. I really enjoyed this and I really enjoyed watching andy pitch, and always wished he pitched for my team. This was beyond well written,this was special. Thanks for sharing.

This is By far the best poSt I have ever read in my life, no lie. I too am a extreme Yankee fanatic and can appreciate the heart that was put into this post. And I too will miss ” Big game Andy” like crazy.
